Experimental Studies of Electron Affinity and Work Function from Aluminium on Oxidized Diamond (100) and (111) Surfaces

چکیده

Three different procedures are used to deposit aluminium onto O-terminated (100) and (111) boron-doped diamond, with the aim of producing a thermally stable surface low work function negative electron affinity. The methods 1) deposition > 20 nm film Al by high-vacuum evaporation followed HCl acid wash remove excess metallic Al, 2) <3 Å atomic layer deposition, 3) thin-film beam evaporation. structure, function, affinity investigated after annealing at temperatures 300, 600, 800 °C. Except for loss O upon first heating, + surfaces remain up values generally between 0.0 ?1.0 eV, is 4.5 ± 0.5 depending method, coverage, temperature. in broad agreement those predicted computer simulations (sub)monolayers on diamond surface.

Work function and affinity changes associated with the structure of hydrogen-terminated diamond „100... surfaces

The positron and electron work functions and affinities of diamond ~100! surfaces were measured using positron reemission and Kelvin probe techniques to reveal changes in the chemical potential, surface dipole, and band bending. The positron affinity x1 is negative; at temperatures between 20 and 100 °C we find x1 524.2060.04 eV for the (231) reconstructed, hydrogen-free surface, 23.7660.04 eV ...

compactifications and function spaces on weighted semigruops

chapter one is devoted to a moderate discussion on preliminaries, according to our requirements. chapter two which is based on our work in (24) is devoted introducting weighted semigroups (s, w), and studying some famous function spaces on them, especially the relations between go (s, w) and other function speces are invesigated. in fact this chapter is a complement to (32). one of the main fea...

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

postnatal studies of bats (pipistrellus kuhlii and miniopterus schreibersii) & histomorphology and histochemistry studies of organs and diseases of (neurergus microspilotus and n. kaiseri)

1. to determine whether difference in birth body mass influenced growth performance in pipistrellus kuhlii we studied a total of 12 captive-born neonates. bats were assigned to two body mass groups: light birth body mass (lbw: 0.89 ± 0.05, n=8) and heavy birth body mass (hbw: 1.35 ± 0.08, n=4). heavier body mass at birth was associated with rapid postnatal growth (body mass and forearm length) ...
